frequently asked questions

  • What if I decide I no longer need the subscription.
You are welcome to cancel your membership at any time if you are not happy. I do everything I can to make my patients happy and provide individualized care, but I do understand that things come up and that my GYN telemedicine service may not be for everyone. I do ask that you give the monthly membership a 3 month try in order to get the full benefits of your care and treatment plan. However, if you decide to cancel at anytime, you can message me through the patient portal and the recurring payments will be stopped. No hassle.
  • Can you see patients in every state?
I can treat patients who are residing in states where I currently have a medical license. This includes AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, MA, MI, MN, MO, NJ, NY, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TX, TN, UT, VA, and WA.
  • Can you do a Prior Authorization for my insurance company?
Yes! I will do any necessary PAs for your insurance company for any medications that I prescribe. If these are denied, I will find an alternative medication or help you find a coupon to make it more affordable.
  • Do you take insurance?
I currently do not take insurance for virtual visits. All zoom visits, telephone calls, and messaging are covered by the subscription price with no copays. Individual pay-per-service visits are also direct pay at this time. If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance provider, I can give you a superbill that you can file with your insurance for reimbursement. You can use your insurance to pay for any imaging, lab work, or medication.
  • Can you be my primary gynecologist?
Since I cannot do pelvic exams, physical exams, or pap smears, I do require you to have an annual physical exam with either your PCP or your in person GYN. However, I am happy to help my patients with many things besides just their hormones including weight loss, mental health, and everyday issues such as UTIs, yeast infections, respiratory infections.
  • Do I need insurance to use this GYN telemedicine service?
No! All of your zoom visits, telephone calls, and messaging are covered by your subscription price (no copays or deductible!). You can also choose to pay-per-service for a reasonable fee. If you do not have insurance, I will help you find low cash rates for any labwork, imaging, or medication.
  • Do you prescribe compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide?
Yes! I prescribed FDA approved medications for obesity. However, when necessary due to shortage or coverage, I do use compounded medications. I have several reputable pharmacies that perform purity and efficacy testing. I get a discount from these pharmacies, which I pass onto my patients, usually resulting in a lower cost than they would get elsewhere.
  • What are the benefits of a subscription plan?
Subscription plans get you unlimited access to me via telephone, chat, and zoom. Many patients prefer to follow up via messaging to get refills of medications or change their medications instead of scheduling zoom or phone appointments. With a subscription plan, we can do follow ups however you choose. Additionally, I can prescribe medications for UTIs, yeast infections, and other common ailments without you having to go in to see your PCP or having to find another telemedicine service, and this is included in the subscription fee.
  • Are there any medications that you cannot or will not prescribe?
I cannot prescribe most controlled substances via telemedicine. These include things such as narcotics (Percocet, Vicodin), benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan). Most other medications I can prescribe if appropriate. Although testosterone is currently a controlled substance, in most instances I can prescribe this for libido issues in menopause, if appropriate. We will always talk about your treatment plan and come up with something that we both feel comfortable with. If you have a condition that is outside of my scope of practice, I will happily refer you to a colleague or an in-person doctor in your area.
