hello
Jackie Stone, MD
I have an Undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University with B.S in Psychology and a Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA. I finished residency training at Prisma Health in Greenville, SC in 2011. After this, I practiced both in private practice and in an OB Hospitalist role prior to transitioning to telehealth.
I am Board Certified in both OBGYN and Obesity Medicine and focus on women's health and wellness in midlife including perimenopause, menopause, and weight loss through hormone therapy, medication, and lifestyle medicine.
I am a busy mom of 5 boys, so I understand how as women we often put our own health and wellness on the back burner in order to take care of all the things and people in our orbit. Women in the menopausal transition (which can start as early as mid to late 30's!) can start to feel as if their bodies are turning against them. I want to make it easy and convenient for women to prioritize their health and wellbeing including physical, mental, and sexual health. A good part of our life is spent in perimenopause and menopause, so we deserve to feel our best!

Philosophly of Care
The foundation of my practice is a relationship with my patients that is built upon trust. I believe in shared decision making. You understand your body best, and it is my job to give you the tools and information to make the best decisions for your own care. I find that many women have been "blown off" or dismissed by other physicians when discussing symptoms that are bothering them. This is why I like to take up to an hour with each new patient to make sure that we have time to address each symptom and get to the bottom of what is going on. I promise that I will not stop trying to get you feeling better!
I also like to look at each patient as a whole, individual person. This means taking into account body, mind, and lifestyle. I order lab testing when indicated, recommend evidence based medications and hormone therapy, and also recommend supplements that have been shown to be effective treatment options. I may also recommend dietary and lifestyle changes as appropriate.
Although I am Board Certified in Obesity Medicine, I will never push anyone to address weight as part of their care unless this is something that they would like to work on. However, if this is something that a patient is interested in addressing, I can help them with this. The answer to weight struggles if often not "eat less and exercise more" because obesity is a genetic and hormone disorder that is much more complicated than that. There are also many medications on the market now that are extremely effective in treating weight disorders.

If you are looking for a relationship and access to your doctor, I would be honored for the opportunity to treat and care for you.
